Depending on your route, you will reach Karlsruhe either via Motorway A5 from North/South (Frankfurt / Heidelberg and Basel / Freiburg), Motorway A8 (Munich and Stuttgart) or Motorway A61 (Cologne and Koblenz). More information can be found here. There are several road works and construction areas in Karlsruhe, so we recommend using an updated navigation system.

Please note, if coming by car:

In general, the university campus is not accessible by car. Public parking is available on the parking lot "Waldparkplatz am Adenauerring" (; Link Google).

Daily access to the KIT area can be requested in advance by sending an e-mail (please two weeks before the workshop start). Access by car is only possible under these conditions; visitors must then use the main campus entrance. At the KIT registration desk (on the ground floor of the library, Building 30.51) you will receive an entry permit (day ticket). Parking places are scarce.
